UPF and the visibility of the University research

As I've said in previous posts, I think that dissemination and transfer of research in universities are key, and even more in the current scenario of crisis.

For my work and given the closeness that I have with the universities, I am seeing clear examples of changes that are carrying out some of Spanish universities, to adapt to a new scenario.

The case of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) is a clear example of a University that looks at research and innovation as one of its basic and highly strategic pillars.

At UPF, works technicians and specialists who bring great value to this field and also have recognition and institutional support that all of this requires.

In SIGMA AIE, we have worked and continue working together with these professionals with clearly defined goals which both share.

All this has resulted, among others, "PPC scientific production Portal" which is a reflection of the great work of review, treatment and standardization of information concerning his scientific production. Task carried out relying on the tools provided by SIGMA and developed thanks, in part, to the proposals and strategies provided by UPF.

At the end of a laborious way, UPF is able to promote, disseminate and visualize their scientific production in a more attractive, flexible and simple way. Fact that makes it position in the rankings and facilitates obtaining projects and more proximity to the business sector (base of the transfer of research results) as well.

Another example of results is The Standardized R+D+I Curriculum Vitae Project (CVN) a strategic project leaded by FECYT, that the University has been put at the service of its research community and has also been in a laborious joint work between the University and SIGMA AIE.

The University and SIGMA AIE are now able to offer UPF scientific community, new and interesting tools and utilities in this area.
